Alpha
Have you ever thought that there must be more to life than this?
Have you ever thought that there might be a God but how can we ever know for sure?
Do you have questions about God, the spiritual, what happens when we die?
Have you ever wanted a purpose, a reason for living, a way of life that gives hope and offers more than the materialistic self-centred nature of modern society does?
The Alpha course is an opportunity to meet up with others who are asking similar questions to you. Designed primarily for people who aren’t churchgoers or who have attended church occasionally but feel they have never been able to ask the questions they’ve wanted to. Each course is open to everyone who would like to attend.
What happens at Alpha?
Over the course of several evenings (usually one a week) you will have the opportunity to explore the basics of the Christian faith and see for yourself how the life, ministry, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ are not only actual events but relevant to how we live today.
This is no hard sell. There are people who have come along to Alpha and not found the answers to all their questions, but many more have found answers, found hope and of course found God for themselves. Why not join us and see for yourself?
Alpha is a national programme and courses attract a diverse range of guests of different ages and backgrounds, holding many different viewpoints. Over 7,000 courses are currently running across the UK in rural and urban settings, including every major UK city. Tabernacle are thrilled to have been involved with running Alpha courses for over ten years.
